Real Estate SMS and IVR Platform

Back in 2008 we met some real estate agents who had this brilliant idea- to start a Real Estate SMS platform.  Problem was- they knew absolutely nothing about technology!  They had started with an overseas development team.  One of their guys had even flown to India to meet the team and supervise the initial launch.  As the platform was beginning to take on new clients, they problems started cropping up.   Besides the numerous problems they encountered, the platform needed a complete overhaul and a whole family of new features.

Overview of the Product

The platform had a simple philosophy: to be a one-stop-shop for Realtors to digitally market their properties.  The actual features consisted of:

  • 4 Roles: Super Admin (for the Company), Corporate Admin, Admin, and Agent
    Hierarchically, these roles controlled the Custom CMS in different ways.  The Super Admin could control all aspects of the Platform (packages, user administration, etc.).  The Corporate Admin had complete control over all accounts under it.  It could create/delete roles, assign properties, edit any property info, and had complete statistical information.  The Admin could control all Agent roles, properties, and Statistics.  Agents could create and edit properties.
  • Properties were fully integrated with the local MLS.  All aspects of the properties were automatically populated by the MLS feed, however, users could override these feilds with custom input for sales and marketing purposes.
  • There were several custom media features as well.  Each new property automatically generated a themed PDF for emailing, a custom SMS message, a mobile compatible web listing, a regular web database listing, and an customizable IVR listing.
  • Custom integrated real estate sign ordering system for companies and Agents to order their signs and riders to put in front of their listed properties.  This system was integrated with a print shop so that orders were immediately processed and shipped upon completion.  Transactions computed in real time, and paid from within the platform interface.
  • Fully functional syndication and feature API’s.  These allowed not only to share all real-estate listings with other listing services, but also to white-label the product as a service to other companies.
